No Warm Fuzzy for me, it's missing something, it's pretty much
\"DULL\"

But What the Hell do I know, My Daughters are the artist in the family.

I'm glad I'm not the only one BB,

There's something that isn't right? I don't know if it's the \"Angle\" or the weapons ?

But the \"Pilot\" even a \"Generic one\" should have more features on his uniform etc...

I hope they didn't pay alot for it.

I don't like it too much either! It appears that the fuselage is angled a bit to the left as you look at the pic, but the left wing is straight on. Or maybe it is me, but it just doesn't look right!

I'm sorry, I just don't like it, and it took 4 years to do it

Now here's a \"Artist\" a young one over on the Daughters art site.

The mystery is, there are many many more artists who are streets better.
The UK based artist in the link above does lots of commissions for many USAFE units, the 48th FW,81st FS to name just two, he knows how to accurately depict his subject.
I have a couple of his Hog paintings 'Panther on the Prowl' and 'Night Stalkers'............got my eye on another, 'Warthogs over Suffolk'

looks like a very rushed piece to me, no thought has gone into the perspective, the nose looks like its bending off to the left..

so much wrong with that painting..

looking at the painting some more, it looks like a shot taken wiht a wide angle lens (probably from a point and shoot camera) was used as reference for the painting but the vanishing point seems to be all over the place and the way the shadows and hightlights have been painted makes the aircraft seem to bend.. the wings have been butchered as well..

a simple sketch, but with everything going to one vanishing point things look better, a not so wide angle also chosen

Nice link, Bacon Bits. Wong's stuff is excellent. (and he certainly is prolific!)

I'm certainly no artist, and couldn't even do that well; but to my eye, it's too simplistic- no depth to it. the pilot looks like he's flat. I'd expect something like this from a high school student with a modicum of talent. Definitely not up to a standard I'd expect at the USAFM.

I have a couple of those Wong prints I picked up at an Intel symposium 20 years ago. Missed by 5 minutes having him sign them.

It's a piece of junk...A-10 version of Elvis on Velvet.

That's it! YoJo, got it right

That's what was the problem, and like Coach said \"Elvis on Velevt \" I think he could of gotten a \"Touch more Detailed on the Pilot\" too.
If it's supposed to represent a \"Certain Event\" then you have to do it Justice.

I wonder Who proofed this painting?

The Man is talented no doubt but \"Perspective\" of the object will make or break it with the \"Drivers and Keepers\" everytime.
