This legendary picture was published on the back page of \"The Wolverine Guard\" Spring 2003 PDF online issue. If I remember right, at that time also a series of about four or five shots from this 332nd AEW PA photo shooting was online somewhere on the web.

Those shots are very important, because they show jets from different A-10 units which were deployed to Ahmed Al Jaber AB, Kuwait, during OIF's main combat phase (including their forward deployments to Tallil Air Base in southern Iraq, and later also to Kirkuk Regional Air Base in northern Iraq).

Anybody from the A-10 professionals who visit the Warthog Territory Forums can/will provide me hi-res versions of those pics in support of my ongoing OIF A-10 research work? I would be very grateful for any support!

Nice to meet you again on this forum, Lil! There are great pictures on your website. So i hope you will give me some input related to my photo request. And yes: It was an orchestrated fly-by, managed by 332nd AEW PA.

The photo they used i believe is Jaber Flyby Pro 024.JPG and IMHO is the best photo of the bunch because you can also see the A-10's on the ground in their parking spots.

Yeaaah, Lil!!! Many, many thanks for your immediate reply! That's exactly what I wanted! And if I remember right, it must be exactly the same known stuff which I lost some years ago - because of my second harddrive crash.

Thanks to those hi-res pics, I'm now again able to identify each of the jets by serial numbers.

JJ, your welcome, just happy I could be of help. Yeah, flightchief.com is my little corner of the web, although it's not an A-10 specific site (I'll leave that to you and dice) we center on all the military aircraft we can get photos of. Would love to have a link from your site and I'll even update my site with a recip. link to yours...

Battle Creek was the lead unit when we took over for DM. There were mostly Battle Creek and Boise jets with a few extra from PA. Once things started heating up they quickly built the black Asphalt ramp to the left in the picture to make room for more hogs. Pope showed up next and were parked on the asphalt ramp with some of our jets as well! We forward deployed to Tallil and set up hot pits and quickly had jets rolling through there from all over the place! KC showed up right before BC, Boise, and the PA jets left and they took permanent residence in Tallil. In the picture you can see brown colored sun shades in the upper right that had A-10s in them. there were also another 6 in the middle between the two ramps and i don't remember how many we had on the asphalt ramp?

Anybody from the Hog-community who can/will provide me the serial numbers of all A-10s which were deployed for OIF to Ahmed Al Jaber AB (and later forward deployed to Tallil and Kirkuk)? That would be very helpful for my http://warthogdeployments.blogspot.com Warthog Deployments section. I already verified some of those, but not the complete list.

jj - In the first link, I remember working with those guys who were Boise pilots. I was on the first crew in to tallil to set it up and put the first signature on the Saddam Pic in the lower right corner! After that the picture was covered from top to bottom by everyone who passed through there in a short time!
Also 81-0975 is a BC jet.
