Fellas,

One of my goals for this website is to have all A-10 squadrons histories and patches displayed here... both active and inactive. I don't even know all the squadrons that have existed. If any of you have these items, I'd love to get them on the site.

I made a new page for stories. I'm looking for anything from \"there I was in the shit\" to buffoonery. I like hearing those and thought this would be the perfect place to document them. Once you old guys die... which can't be too long, those memories will be lost.

If there's anything you guys would like to see on the site, I'm always looking for new content and open to suggestions.

Thanks

That's a tall order to get all the units and their histories but, would be VERY nice if you could pull it off. I have quite a few of the older units patches in jpeg format but it would be the weekend before I could go through my files and pull them out.

I would like to see something on the main page of the site that lets me know quickly what has been added/updated so I don't have to go through the whole site every time I visit looking for what's new. You could add a info box like on http://www.flightchief.com or, just post the changes on the main page and then delete them after a month or so like on my site.

I am named in this list http://www.tankkiller.com/thanks.html
Send sometimes photos of Spangdahlem patches (and one for the miscellaneous) to complete the website.
It is a very good website of patches, but there is no squadron/wing history on it. But that information can you find in books of Don Logan or from other writers.

StrangeLuv,

Your more than welcome to use the images from the A-10 gallery on flightchief.com, just let me know which ones and I'll set up an area where you can download the high rez photos from.

Does anyone know which squadrons will be attending Hawgsmoke, there are several shown on the Hawgsmoke website but I don't know if that is a participation list or not.

Cheers

Neil

We expect all active squadrons to be there. Typically overseas squadrons don't sent their jets. The pilots fly jets from other squadrons. We've been putting all A-10 squadrons histories on the site... the ones we can find.

Thanks for the reply and the information, hopefully I will be there but have to sort visas etc out. Its getting harder and harder to get into the US.

Regards

Neil

Indeed it is. It looks I won't be there this edition of Hawgsmoke despite being over for the 2004 and 2006 events. Sadly.

The Visa requirements took their toll. Even after consulting the US Consulate in Amsterdam, things seems to be unclear what actually is needed/wanted despite what's listed on the hawgsmoke website.

Cheers, André

I have artwork for planes and emblems of all the active duty squadrons. You are welcome to use any of it on your site. PM me if you are interested...
