I got a neat piece of info yesterday. Here in Western Mass we have two bases. Barnes ANGB is our base we fly F-15's [bs] and Westover ARB which is a C-5 Galaxy wing just seven miles away. They recently got a new commander. Apparently he is the former A-10 guy that flew \"The Chopper Popper\". I just thought that was kinda cool since everyone here in Western Mass knows of Westover ARB and their C-5's. I spend a lot of time over there, I was there earlier today bringing one of our jets to the airshow this weekend. I thought it would be cool to meet him someday. I mean it would be way cooler ifin we still had cool jets.

A \"Fred\" base ? You've got me on that one Bro I ain't never heard of a Fred base before. But then again I am not nearly as linguistically talented as you are.

Billy, where were your jets? I was there on Fri and Sat and only a BD A-10 and a Lawndart from SC.

Was this on Sunday only? I heard about the fly over, can't believe they didn't have any statics

You were where Dave ? And you didnt call ? You didnt email me ? What the ......................? You and me we are done ! Pack your bags and get out ! And yes you can believe we didnt get a static because we couldnt even get a static. Actually the truth is like this. We are doing real well but we only have eight jets on line right now. The rest are still waiting in line for acceptance inspections. Mr Kraft requested that we do the flyover for the Patriots game on Sunday and so we had to make the choice of a static at the show or loose out on national media coverage of the flyover. We thought the opening game flyover was more important so we nixed sending two jets to Westover as statics.

I was out there with another friend I shoot with and after not seeing a Eagle on the line on Friday I didn't think you would do an air show if you didn't have to. I've been trying to get out there for a follow up on the transfer to the Eagle but a certain PAO won't return my emails.....

Totally agree on doing the fly over over sending statics, wish I was there on Sunday but I had to drive home after getting on base Sunday. The wifey wasn't happy about me making it a 3 day weekend while she's gone to school M-F

Did you see Daisy May (BD A-10)? I asked the pilot if he would open the latter door but the CC had it taped and he didn't want to open it without asking him. Someone taught him well.
