Anyone seen it or know what the monster is?

No, but it looks kinda gay.

It comes out on the 18th, and i was told that i'll be seeing it on that day. lol The boyfriend is a big Godzilla fan and was hoping that it is something like that So i'll be happy to report to you.

My son hates the trailer and says he hopes the monster is a giant beaver. I don't how to tell him that giant beavers are more scary than any movie?

I wanted to see AVPR, but didn't get around to it.

Anyone else see it? Was it any good?

As Promised i saw Cloverfield this afternoon, at the best i can say it was ok. Not great, not a movie to buy, but worth watching once if it shows up on HBO.

1st of all as much as i hate to disappoint you all, the monster was not a giant beaver. I was right when i said it would be Blair Witch combined with Godzilla, but i think Alien would play a part as well.

After about 30 min of the movie i was getting nauseous from the 1st person \"through the video camera and running\" views...but the movie was what is promised. It was the 1st person portrayal of what would happen if a monster attacked a major city. It was decent in that fact that it showed you exactly what happens to people and government and such. If you into movies with happy ending this is not for you.

I won't spoil anything if anyone is planning to see it, but the best part for me was the previews where i can see that the next Marvel movie of Iron Man is coming out (a big comic book nerd like myself can't wait)

I saw the trailer for Ironman on DVD. Won't spoil it but who can hate how Tony Stark creates the suit in the upcoming movie?

According to studio estimates issued on Sunday, \"27 Dresses\" opened at No. 2 with $22.4 million, while last weekend's champ \"The Bucket List\" fell to No. 3 with almost $15.2 million. The top-10 contained one other new release, \"Mad Money,\" which opened at No. 7 with just $7.7 million.

\"Cloverfield,\" a $25 million movie with a no-name cast from Paramount Pictures, set a record for a January release, surpassing the $35.9 million reissue of \"Star Wars\" in 1997.

It will also set a record for the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. \"Black Hawk Down\" earned $33.6 million during the four-day period in 2002. Paramount said its movie will earn more than $47 million after the Monday holiday is included.

Box office observers had expected \"Cloverfield\" to open in the $20 million range for the three-day period, a little ahead of \"27 Dresses.\" They largely discounted Paramount's unusual forecast last week that the order would be reversed.

While the two movies appeared to target completely different audiences delineated by gender, the positively-reviewed \"Cloverfield\" played more broadly than expected.

Paramount said men comprised 60 percent of the audience, and 55 percent of moviegoers were aged under 25. The audience for \"27 Dresses\" was three-quarters female, Fox said.

Fender, no you get to see the monster...i just didn't want to ruin it and tell you all what it was in case anyone wanted to go see it.

Yeah Iron Man and Dark Knight, and a new hulk movie this year...its going to be great!!
