Please check: http://warthognews.blogspot.com/2009/03 ... ed-in.html

By the way: The book \"A-10s over Kosovo\", provided online for free as PDF file http://www.au.af.mil/au/aul/aupress/Books/Haun/Haun.pdf by USAF's Air University Press, should be a 'must have' for all 'Hog' enthusiasts.

Anybody who can/will provide additional info?

I was there too! What a Great trip!! $72 a day per diem buys a lot of vino. I stayed at the La fenice or \"bedrock\" as we called it! That's the way to fight a war for a maintainer. I was on nights so i usually parked my jet, turned it, launched it, and they were gone for 6-8 hours so i would chill in my tent on the keyhole and wait to be relieved by days. Sicily rocks.

Fixer that was in fact an awesome trip. I went on the advon and then I was one of the 30 guys that went to the CSAR det in Tasczar Hungary. But I actually still have my key to my room in the Feces. What was your favourite haunt ? I am a personal fan of Joes Boat Bar down on the beach or Brunos Pizza up on the corner ? I wentback twice after that on transition support teams during the SWA deployments the next year. Once to take our jets through there enroute to Jabar and then again later to get Boise's jets through there on their transition to Jabar. I was supposed to go as a liason for the Pennsylvania guys a year later when they were going to SWA but I got my government card shut off for non pament of three dollars and some odd cents so I didnt make it back to Trappani the fourth time. But your right that place was the berries. I have some pics somewhere but I dont have a website to post them to.

Hawg166,

you could use photobucket.com for that (uploading is free). Once uploaded just hotlink the pictures into the forums.

Skywarriors is right. Photobucket.com is a very nice platform for posting online pictures for free. For best quality (for free), please select option Reduce to 1megabyte file size. I already use photobucket.com for some downsized pictures of my Warthog blogs.

Hawg166! On photobucket.com you can also create some sub-albums.

Hope that helps.

Just because it has an A-10 on the cover does not mean it is a \"must have\".
