My sister, attending the Olympia Air Show, was enjoying the A-10 demo when what appeared to be two panels separated to make their own individual aerial displays. Nobody reported hurt, fortunately. Any word?

What day was she there? I didn't see anything fall off on Saturday and the guys went about business as usual during the post flight.

Ok, I just got word.

Rt outboard False Flap panel came off mid-demo and landed in the middle of the airfield.

Weasel_80-204,

She was there on Sunday. Are you back in the PNW, for McChord, or just following the demo A-10s around?

Yeah, I'm back in the PNW. I'm living in Renton now, and I'm a GS with FEMA doing tactical communications. I ended up hearing that my old jet (that's me and my daughter in the pic in front of it from Saturday) was going to be there, so we took a trip down for my kid's first airshow.

Well, welcome back, and glad to have ya! Hope the Renton traffic isn't too bad. I recognized you from the pic, and figured it was your daughter. Wow, has it really been 7+ years (when I saw her she was a few weeks [days?] old in a car seat)? Seems like you're doing the daddy-thing right, she looks great and growing up strong!

Roughly. We PCS'd to Fairchild back in Nov. 2004. I got separated back in April 2007. It took a while, and about 6 months of unemployment back in late 2009 to get here, but it was well worth it.

She just turned 5 at the end of May. She's into cars and loves to go to the Renton airport and watch the planes take off and land. The MoF had a free dat a couple months ago and she was digging the Concorde and the VC-137 tours.
