Im trying to find out what a C-17, C-5, and C-130 can haul in the way of armored vehicles.

1. How many Bradley IFV's will fit in a C-17, or a C-5.

2. How many M-88 ARV's fill fit in either.

3. How many 2 1/2 ton trucks per.

4. How many HUMVEE's per.

5. How many Apache's per.

Thanx.

I know 1 a1 tank will fit in a c-17 due to weight... probably the same with the c-5, and zero in 130...as for humvees...four six and two respectively, trucks the same as humvees...and I know that marine one can fit in both the c-17 and the c-5...been there...seen that...Hope that helps

I was a FE (Flight engineer) on C-141's in training and we went to FL to test load a cigarette boat. The loadmasters were able to get the boat to load with no problems. The question that you might have is WHY?

They planed on Air Dropping it in to the Atlantic along with a bunch of seals. I was just there for the initial test load and later (1-2 Months) I found out that it was a success.

As far as a C-141 goes, it can take 13 pallets and has a TO GW of 325,000 pounds. About 160,000 of that is fuel.

IN MY 11 MONTHS SNIPE I ONLY SEEN A COUPLE OF HUMMERS AND A FEW SMALL TRUCKS ON TRASH HAULERS.
WE WERE HOME BASE SO MOST OF THE TIME THEY FLEW TO THE LOAD SITES.
13 PALLETS WAS MOST I SAW,OR 2 COMFORT PALLETS WITH PRIVATE SLEEPING QUARTERS AND CUSHY SEATS!

THE OTHER STUFF I SAW WE DELT WITH IS CLASSIFIED STILL

BUT A FRED CAN ONLY HAUL 1 A-1 TANK AT A TIME AND I'M PRETTY SURE 6 COBRAS OR 4 HUEYS,WE USE TO HAVE FORT POLK LOAD AT EAFB GOING TO NTC.

PRESS TO TEST

I've seen at least 2 Apaches in a C-17, I believe they were side by side so 4 might fit. I think I've seen 1 Apache in a C-130.
