Truong,

I believe the Rafale is out because of French government refusal to provide funding for an upgraded export version to compete with Gripen.

I notice you did not list Euro-fighter. Have you heard something of them being illiminated from consideration? Or was it based on common sense given the cost?

I feel a debate coming on. That being the representation of that paper airplane.

What a pity this is taking place online, or else I could show..not say..that the DC-3 of paper airplanes has a nasty sting. If a pin or thumbtack is placed with the point sticking out the nose, and the plane is thrown at someone. Still equal to Iraq's airforce??? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

LMAO... only if you submerge it underwater or light it on fire once you've stuck someone with the thumbtack... <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

a thumbtack? really? LOL we used to make the classic "supersonic" style paper airplane with a paperclip in the nose, with one end of the paperclip unfolded and sharpened and sticking out front, accurate "inocculations" from 20ft away were a piece of cake, and IF you found a "bleeder" in the class ...well........ LOL

LMFAO!!! Too funny reminiscing...

A buddy of mine and I used to make a smaller, more concealed version of a paper airplane (okay, they were really darts...) using a pencil eraser broken into two halves, a straight pin, and a square piece of notebook paper folded diagonally twice. (For further details, inquire later.)

We'd throw them around the room while waiting for class to begin, and lodge them in the ceiling for fun. Then we got the bright idea to throw them <u>at</u> each other (yeah, I know) and kept getting them stuck in our arms. All that fun and excitement ended abruptly, however, when I got pissed and threw one at my friend's head, lodging it firmly in his scalp behind his ear.

He didn't think that my marksmanship was as admirable as I did... <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

Did you hit Travis?

1. Don't look conspicuous; it draws fire.
2. Never draw fire; it irritates everyone around you.

We should have sold all the US planes with an inherent shutdown code installed.... That way if push ever came to shove we could just shut them all down in flight <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

Kinda like the overide code Captain Kirk, and Spock used to jack up Khan when he hijacked the U.S.S Reliant and tried to use her against the Enterprise........

Ricardo Mataban didn't have Tatoo to help him out of that deal.

If your not having fun, your not doing it right!

[Note: please put on your Sarcasm-O-Goggles before reading this post.]

We should just stop selling weapons and technology to all foreign nations, friend or foe.

Instead, put 'em on e-Bay. I'm sure there are enough rich power-hungry eccentrics in the U.S. that'll snatch up an F-14 or two if the price is right... <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

SIDE NOTE: Yes, "Sarcasm-O-Goggles" is a real term... in my head...

this MIGHT be the singlemost heinous threadjacking that we've had here in a long time LOL.

darts did somebody say darts?? we used those <font size=1>small</font id=size1> milk straws and made darts by twirling some modeling clay on the head end of a straight pin(the clay was both the stabiliser and the air seal at the rear with the point of the pin leading the way) we used these tiny blow guns for various things (not confessing to anything, but encephilitus DID break out in St. Louis that summer) and we eventually made little shooting galleries with clay ducks bobbing around while mounted on the springs that come out of clicker ink pens. hee hee

All these stories sound really interesting. I'd like details on how to build all of these, please. I live for wreaking havoc in the classroom <Cackles and smiles an evil grin>

We used to make a 'U' shape out of large paper clips and shoot them at each other with rubber bands. I punctured an inflatable globe in the school library one day. Those things hurt like BB guns if they hit you. They were especially nasty if you used a thick rubberband like those used to hold bundles of mail together....<img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>
