In your opinion (again), what is the most powerfull weapon of the world ?

- The Nuclear Bomb
- The FAE
- The MOAB
- The hydrogen bomb
- Any napalm bomb
- Or even the new 'laser' technologie...lol

I think the FAE is the greatest, but the most destructive is the hydrogen bomb.

Win with the best, die with the rest.

Unfortunately....she's also the single most unstable form of unconventional weapon known to man.

laugh if you will, but it's gonna be the LASER (opticle or microwave) when the spooks get a DEW gun on a stealthy platform they will have litteraly a flying sniper!! It can go anywhere, almost anytime, do it's thing (destruction, assasination, whatever) and leave NO TRACE of it's presence other than the results. Talk about "Sabre rattleing". Now about that trade policy/border action/hostage situation "

Snipe, you've got it in one.

I nearly got vaporised this weekend. Beloved was talking at length about something which she holds dear to her heart. The fact that in 10 days she is going to become Mrs Hollowpoint.

She notices that my contribution to the conversation has tailed off and I'm staring very hard at the TV. Not that uncommon, but this time it was switched off and there was not a nearly naked woman anywhere to be seen.

"What are you thinking?" She asks, always a dangerous question…

"I'm wondering if the new speaker stands will line the top of the speakers up with the top of the TV" comes my honest if somewhat stupid response.

Apparently the correct answer was "How I'm about to be the luckiest man in the world".

Ever wondered what it's like to let of a thermobaric round in your living room?

Anyway, back on topic…

I really love Laser technology for all of the reasons Boomer details. But I'm slightly worried that for pin-point applications lasers are susceptible to atmospheric interference.

In terms of sheer energy released it would be some sort of Star Trek Anti-matter bomb. Theoretically possible, but a foreign power might just notice you trying to sneak a 1.5km wide flux containment coil into their C&C bunker…

I reckon that possibly the most disruptive weapon of recent times has got to be the US/Canadian power grid. I struggle to think of anything else that could have fu&ked up the lives of 70 millions people quite so efficiently ...

I wonder if it works against fighters, or ground targets for that matter.

out of the sudgestions listed, The Hydrogen Bomb is by far the single most destructive weapon ever concived, yet hardly the smartest thing that man has created. yes Nukes are powerful, but I dont think anything beats the Hydrogen device.

those things are what kept the cold war exactly that, cold!
