Boot camps for inmates don't work because they don't have a job to go to afterwards unlike a real military bootcamp.

ROFL on no drug market. Rush Limbaugh didn't have much of a problem supporting his habit of 8 odd years.

Prisons are big big business. Over 2 million behind bars and another 5 odd million on parole/probation. That's some serious bucks being poured into the programs. Tis reason they have prisons for profit.

White collar crime costs this country well over 10 times what blue collar crime does. Enron, World Com, etc.

What about using the prisoners for televised gladiator contests to the death. This is not a new idea but with all the reality shows around this would really take off. We could have it be voluntary and maybe get HBO or showtime to pick up the contract.

This may not be for every prisoner but if I was in prison I would jump at a chance to go out in a blaze of glory.

Why not have Half-time executions bring monday night footballs rating back up a bit (George Carlins idea, I just like it )

They already have "Ultimate Fighting Championship," why not take it a step further?

I'd TOTALLY pay to watch some stupid assholes beat the living crap out of each other. Hell, you could have an incentive for the prisoners... for every match they win, they get a month knocked off their sentence. But you could limit the competition only to those on Death Row or with life sentences.

Frogger, instead of knocking off sentence time, give them a nicer cell and some perks like music and movies in private.
They would bring in enough revenue to live in luxury plus they could drop government funding of prisons.

The only problem with that is that they already get cable TV and other niceties, from your tax dollars and mine.

I think personally that they should all be put in empty cells, with slate grey walls, and grey clothes, bedding, etc... feed them all some gruel or something similar to that crap they eat in "The Matrix," that doesn't really taste that good but gives you all your nutrition.

Take the "fun" out of being in prison. You're there to be punished, not to enjoy not having to work or pay bills while watching HBO and eating pizza on the taxpayers' dollars.

What a way to teach a thief the right way to live: stick 'em in a place where they don't have to work anymore, and give them FREE BENEFITS. Full medical, full dental, all meals, pool tables, workout equipment, all sorts of recreational activities... honestly, if I were homeless or destitute, I'd probably do something to get thrown in prison as well. They live better in their cells than bums on the street do. It's a damn shame... and we pay for it all.

no I like froggers idea about taking time off of sentances for guys that will never see another free day in thier lives LOL 2/3s of them will probly jump at the chance untill they realize one month off of a life sentance dont help much ROFL.
