If the Army still wants something to replace the Kiowa, a version of the Aussie Tiger ARH wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm pretty sure the Z cobras are comprehensive rebuilds.

Next system to be cancelled will be the F-22.

its a 25/70/5 rebuild program.

25% of the Whiskeys will be upgraded 70 % will be new airframes the other 5% is an overflow cap for any attrition and insured service Maint/Operational guarantee

Actually, the Commanche did see action a little less than a year ago,

anyone remember this?

was just reading that the MAIN reason the Army wanted Commanche was to deep attack surveilance and tracking RADARs ( a la ODS opening strike with Apaches) and that now the DOD prefers to do it with computer attack and UAVs, the mission dissapeared for Commanche so it got axed. Apparently this desicion ( to axe RAH-66) was made quite some time ago (6 months or more)and the cancellation costs will be more like $500mil rather than the $2bil earlier estimate.
