We're getting breaking news that a US Air Marshal has shot and injured a passenger on a flight out of Miami Airport.

Apparently the person who got shot claimed they had a bomb.

Can any of you shed some light on this?

IMHO if the passenger was carrying a device, the Air Marshal deserves a medal.

If the passenger was 'dicking about' he deserved it.

A passenger claiming to have a bomb on board an American Airlines plane in Miami has been shot and wounded by a US federal officer, officials have said.
The passenger, who has been arrested, was challenged by the air marshal after he seemed to reach into a bag. He tried to flee and was shot.

The incident is said to have occurred on the jetway between the plane and the airport terminal.

The plane had just arrived from Colombia, and was headed to Orlando. </font id=yellow>

As might be expected, there are numerous conflicting reports. However, I have it on good authority that the marshall was packing a SiG P229 in .357 <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Using the word bomb on a plane = sucide. This means the airmarshals did their job.

Let this be a warning for everybody.
I heard on BBC World (our ago when I write this), that his wife shouted in the plane her husband needs his medicine.
I think sooner or later we heard the real story about this.
